Our Mission

Our mission is to raise awareness, decrease the stigma, and increase access and utilization of mental health services in marginalized communities. Our mission is also to address the professional development of counselors and train mental health clinicians in social justice advocacy.

Our Goals

Our goal is to decrease social disparities in mental health through support services. We will help alleviate barriers and challenges and improve overall wellness in underserved communities.

Community Counseling & Training Center

New Visions Wellness Center, Inc. has partnered with Webster University Myrtle Beach to serve the mental health needs of our community and the training needs of counselors.

Counselor Trainees (CT) provide FREE mental health services to the community. These services include brief, solution-focused counseling that is aimed at identifying problems, assessing needs, setting goals, and developing a plan of action to accomplish those goals. CT also provide FREE wellness groups on various topics and educate the community about mental health through outreach efforts.

Licensed counselors are also available to provide mental health therapy for clients who may have more intense issues or require extensive services. Our counselors also conduct a variety of therapy groups, and are available to conduct educational workshops, specified training seminars, and wellness retreats for organizations and groups.

We are here to support you as you navigate through life's issues. Get in touch with us today to learn more about what we do and how we may be able to help you. We focus on underserved communities and marginalized groups. We hope to hear from you soon!

What We Do

Mental Health Services

We provide convenient and affordable mental health wellness services.

Clinical Supervision

We provide clinical supervision to meet the requirements for graduate field experience and professional licensure.

Who It’s For

Our services are focused on disadvantaged groups, particularly BIPOC and lower socioeconomic communities.

Methods of Service

The CCTC is housed on the campus of Webster University Myrtle Beach, 4589 Oleander Drive, Myrtle Beach, SC. Services are provided in person on the Myrtle Beach campus and are also provided virtually when that is more convenient.

Tiered, Mentor-Based System

We have a diverse group of counselors from different social groups and with different levels of training and experience.  The center is set up on a tiered, mentor-based system, where counselors on all levels are assisted with career development, from master’s level graduate students in field experience courses to Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisors. Our student CT and our site supervisors are volunteers, which allows us to make mental health services accessible to anyone in the community regardless of one’s insurance situation or ability to pay.
